Thanks to Nottingham Writers Studio for hosting a launch on January 21st of The Dawning the second novel by Nottingham writer Megan Taylor published by Weathervane Press.
Megan read a brief extract from the novel talked about its genesis and answered questions.
Set in the Peak District the idea for the story came to Megan on the way home from a visit to the area. It was growing dark and she noticed a large isolated house with brightly lit windows which gave the place an air of mystery and at the same time vulnerability. She imagined a young boy walking out of the back door into a large neglected snow covered back garden. In that moment the story was born.
