ATTENTION DEFICIT - new novel from NIGEL PICKARD

Buy ATTENTION DEFICIT now on the Book Shop page of weathervanepress.co.uk

Listen to an extract read by the author on Weather-eye.

Nottingham writer Nigel Pickard's brilliant second novel is a must read. Provocative yet entertaining, his intelligent prose is always utterly convincing.

Thanks to Nottingham Writers' Studio for hosting a launch on January 21st of 'The Dawning', the second novel by Nottingham writer Megan Taylor, published by Weathervane Press.

Megan read a brief extract from the novel, talked about its genesis and answered questions.

Set in the Peak District, the idea for the story came to Megan on the way home from a visit to the area. It was growing dark and she noticed a large isolated house with brightly lit windows, which gave the place an air of mystery and at the same time vulnerability. She imagined a young boy walking out of the back door, into a large, neglected snow covered back garden. In that moment, the story was born.
